The English Centre was founded in 1962 by the Extra-Mural Board Stockholm University. Today it is an independent non-profitmaking charitable educational foundation.
Over the years ELC has developed into one of the language schools in the United Kingdom, welcoming adult students from more than 40 different countries each year.
The English Language Centre is situated in Hove, the quiet residential part of the busy and exciting city of Brighton & Hove.

The students can choose the type of the accommodation: a homestay (a single room or a shared one) or a hotels.

- Intensive General English for short-term, meium-term, and long-term students with 25 or 30 lessons a week

ELC organises afternoon or evening social activities. Some of them are free of charge but a small charge may be made for some activities.
After classes and at weekends you can choose full-day excursions to London, Oxford, Stratford upon Avon, Hastings & Rye, etc.
