Academic Term Program combines three types of classes: in different disciplines with Russian students, Russian Language classes, Helping Sessions and Afternoon Courses.
Students can choose 4 courses from the programs of the Departments:Linguistics and Intercultural Communication, Economics, Public Relations, European Studies. More information on Study programs: http://www.eng.niyak.spb.ru/study_programs
Helping Sessions are tutored by Russian students whose minor is “Teacher of Russian as a Foreign Language”. The Department of Russian as a Foreign Language monitors the classes of Helping Sessions. The classes are devoted to the analyses, translation, reading of the lecture materials. For each Lecture Course students have 2 hours of Helping Sessions per week.

- Afternoon Courses
in Theater, Dance, Visual Arts are available free of charge.

NEVSKY SCHOLARSHIP FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
The Nevsky Institute grants this not monetary scholarship to international students. Due to this fact, foreign students may take Academic Term Program at the Nevsky Institute for free.
The following requirements are essential to be considered for a scholarship:
To be a student of any foreign institution and to study well;
To have Intermediate level of Russian language;
To have references from two professors of the University where student studies;
To send an application to the International Department of the Nevsky Institute at the proper time to studmail@nilc.spb.ru
The Deadlines for students who wish apply for the scholarship:
To study in the Fall semester: May 15; to study in the Spring semester: October 15.
Suggested Terms:
According to the program, international students may participate in it on the following terms:
Students can take any four courses at the Nevsky Institute during a semester, take “Helping sessions” with Russian students, and take 4 hours of Russian language per week;
Students have an access to the library, computer class, Internet and other facilities at the Institute;
Students will be expected to pay all visa fees out of pocket, their accommodation, to purchase a Medical insurance and round-trip plane/train tickets
Transcripts (ECTS), grades, and reports are sent back to the home university.
