The Department of Russian as a Foreign Language (RFL) provides the courses and programs for Russian and foreign students. All the instructors of the Department have experience of teaching abroad and know foreign languages.
Since 2003 a problem research group has been working at the Department, it has been making research in the national stereotypes of study process.
The Department of RFL has the following directions:
- Term Programs for Foreign Students.
Foreign students have a possibility to take academic programs at Nevsky Institute during a term or an academic year. They can choose their academic program by themselves as well as agree it with the program of their university. At the end of the course students get a Transcript and Certificate.
Program Coordinator gives a full report about the student’s grades and course documentation.
- Russian as a Foreign Language for Foreign Students.
The Course of RFL is readjusted into academic hours as well as into ECTS. The Course of RFL can be adjusted to different levels of language command (from Beginner to Proficiency), various periods and aims of study.
At the end of the course a student gets a Certificate with the names of the subjects s/he studied during the course, period of the course, total amount of academic hours and ECTS. A program Coordinator gives a student’s university a complete report about the student’s grades and a copy of the Certificate.
- Preparation to the Test in Russian as a Foreign Language (TRFL).
The Department of RFL helps foreign students to get ready to TRFL of different levels. Instructors who have a State Certificate in Testing RFL hold the classes.
