The Department of Russian Studies

The Department of Russian Studies comprises the Academic Department of Russian Language for Foreign Students, Testing Center of Russian as a Foreign Language and International Department Support Group.

The Department provides courses and programs for Russian and international students.

At the end of the Program/course a student granted a Certificate with the names of the subjects s/he studied during the Program/course, period of study, total amount of academic hours and ECTS. A Program Coordinator provides for a student’s home university a complete report about the student’s grades and a copy of the Certificate.

The structure of the Department is the following:

The Admission Office of the Department enrolls foreign citizens to be students of the Institute or Department program s/he has chosen. It also works out and practices new international programs as well as collaborates with the foreign partners of the Nevsky
Institute. Besides it keeps the documents concerning the foreign students.

At the Admission Office (room 217) Russian students can:

  • Get a Transcript (a Certificate) of grades the student has got during his study at the Institute. It is necessary if the student is going to enter a foreign university. In case the student has such a document the university admit the courses taken at the Nevsky Institute
  • Get a transcript of the Final Certificate (Diploma) and the appendix for it. You can also get a transcript of the academic hours according to the European Transfer Credit System
  • A necessary information about the exchange programs of the Nevsky Institute
  • Get an information and have a chance to be enrolled for the following courses:
    * Russian as a Foreign Language
    * Intercultural Communication
    * Teacher Assistant (the leader of the program is Yana V. Lukina)
    * Travel for Free (the leader of the program is Marina P. Loginova)
    * Grant-Found (the leader of the program is Svetlana A. Bykadorova)
    * Excavators (the leader of the program is Natalia I. Ozerova)
